Then this opportunity is right for you!

The Udhëtim i Lire Association-Liberi di Viaggiare within the initiative "Youth for Local Democracy" has opened the call for participants in the Academy of Local Democracy.
The main purpose of this Academy is to inform and empower young people in issues such as: participatory democracy, advocacy and lobbying, structured dialogue, roles and responsibilities of institutions, civic education, activism, participation, political rights, accountability and transparency. Based on non-formal education, this activity aims to equip young people with technical and practical skills in order for them to exercise their democratic rights as well as to advocate and lobby institutions for youth issues.

Application Criteria:

This call is based on the principle of inclusiveness, transparency and non-discrimination. The call is open to all young people aged 15-29, regardless of gender, religion, race or socio-economic status. This call maximally encourages young people who come from rural areas, young people with few socio-economic opportunities or young people who are in the first steps of activism and active citizenship.

Evaluation Criteria:

The evaluation criteria will be based on the motivation of the participants to participate in this academy as well as their availability to participate during all the days of its development. Only the winners will be notified after the selection phase.

To be a winner in this call you must fulfill the following conditions:

• Be young between the ages of 15-29
• Have basic knowledge of the English language
• Be enthusiastic, curious, open-minded and engaged in the community
• Be curious and motivated to undertake advocacy campaigns in the municipality of Kavajë
